Monica Foster

Monica joined Focus Search Partners in 2020 to launch and lead the firm’s Interim Executive Services (IES) practice, providing on-demand interim and project-based executive talent to companies across industries, at every stage of the business lifecycle. Monica leads origination efforts for the practice. ​

Prior to joining Focus Search Partners, Monica supported C-suite recruiting for the 70+ technology-focused portfolio companies of Vista Equity Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Austin, Texas. She gained invaluable experience working for a top performing PE firm. Earlier in her career Monica worked for the largest project-based CFO solutions firm where she led recruiting and service delivery teams nationally. She brings a 15-year track record of meeting and exceeding client and candidate expectations by leading with transparency, candor, and a sense of urgency. ​

The expansion of the IES practice complements the firm’s 20-year history of executing high quality retained search services by offering more to our clients who have come to know FSP as a trusted search advisor. ​

Monica holds a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She resides in Nashville with her husband and son. Monica’s early career was teaching America’s next generation as a devoted kindergarten teacher. She continues her passion to positively impact children’s lives with her involvement in several nonprofits.
