Performance Speaks, Part 2: Released from the Fear of Failure

Far too often, leaders can be their own worst enemies when it comes to achieving the next level of success.  While the path to success might not be as direct as we’d like, the actual fear of failure can be crippling and is commonly the difference between mediocrity and greatness.

In Part 2 of our Performance Speaks series, Mike Yastrzemski, outfielder for the San Francisco Giants, discusses how he overcame his fear of failure to finally achieve success in the big leagues. As with all things, a shift in mindset can be the difference between winning or losing. Every experience and hardship we encounter is a chance to overcome or to learn how to improve the next time around. Not every at bat will be a home run, but if we constantly refine our strategy, success will come more often than not.

Watch as we discuss the power of releasing yourself from the fear of failure.
