NASHVILLE, TN – Focus Search Partners, A Vaco Company, today announced that Sam McDonald has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Sam is joining to further expand and scale Focus Search Partners’ HCIT retained search practice. Sam will be based at the Nashville headquarters.

Sam’s IT practice complements the firm’s 20-year history of executing high-quality retained, healthcare and technology search. Serving as a bridge between the firm’s two main practices, Sam is well-positioned to continue in FSP’s efforts to Build Teams that Grow Companies.
Sam began his recruiting career with a startup where he played a critical role in driving new business, which helped to rapidly expand the Company by identifying and partnering with mid-level to enterprise-level clients. During this time, Sam successfully launched a new office in 2009 and later successfully launched a new business division in 2017.
Most recently, Sam built and led a successful team of Executive Recruiters in launching an HCIT vertical practice for a national recruiting firm. Recruiting Sam to join the Focus Search Team supports our Firm’s strategy to attract exceptional talent to build teams that grow companies, both within Focus Search Partners as well as for our clients.
